I don't pretend to be who/what I'm not. I will be honest here unless I publish under the category "This could be news" which is 99% fiction and a wee bit sarcastic. ;-) I want readers who come here to have as much fun as I do. Not all subjects can be fun, but most can be funny if I do my job right ;-)
I hate it when party-poopers find out you are planning something. After hearing the details they have to tell you why that is a waste of time, it’s not going to work, blah, blah, blah.
I bought some avocado on sale around Cinco de Mayo. I saved the seeds and propped them up in vases so their bottoms would be underwater. One sprouted a root really quickly, the other 2 have not. Speedy, I name all my plants, needed to be planted, he was raring to go!
I found a pretty pot with a reservoir and some old potting soil amongst my gardening things. Perfect! Now Speedy is all snug in his pretty pot on our front deck. I have to watch out for hungry forest animals who may want to much on the tender sprouts.
Anyway, they scoffed the last time I grew an avocado tree. It lives happily in Southern California now.
Same when I planted Sunflowers back when we lived in town. They were gorgeous! And we enjoyed the seeds too.
The point is – don’t listen to the nay-sayers, party-poopers, or otherwise negative people. Plant things, write poetry, bake things, make quilts – Be your best YOU.
What the heck? For years I (thought) I had a Facebook page. I would post things, read comments, make friends, all that stuff.
It turns out that what I had was a profile page. Huh?!? I wanted to connect my blog to my FB page, but I could not because the only “page” I owned was my Mary Kay for Mountain Women page.
So, today I created a “page” called Jodi Lea’s Place (same name as the blog).
If you are reading this on Facebook, please throw it a “like” or something. I may have to connect my page to my profile somehow. I am feeling really confused now and it makes me MAD. I actually have a blog called “The Rant”. Maybe I should connect that to FB…
