Sort of tough to tell, right? 
The fact is our rising and setting sun has been orange all week. Smoke and ash making everything hazy and gloomy. That enough can make a person depressed, but add finding ash covering window sills, door frames, and our entire deck, means I have to clean it up. Now I want to take a nap!
Sometimes I can be such a putz. I am actually griping about having to clean my house, while hundreds of people no longer have a house. I imagine they would be thrilled to clean their house that burned down to the ground last week.
What a sobering thought.
Now, this was the ultimate spooky, the sunlight was orange all day long! For at least 3 days in a row, the sun was an orange ball and its orange rays came through the windows.
More fires were contained last week and the sun is its normal color again, and the air is clean enough to breathe. The temperatures were in the 80s and still are so far this week. Another “Hot Spell” is expected, as always, the first week of September.
