The Delimma About True Blood

Sunday, June 16th is Father’s Day. Instead of “Dinner at Dad’s” or “Dad over for dinner”; written on my calendar is “True Blood!”.  No disrespect meant to my dad – I lost him way too soon in 1992.  He would have either hated True Blood or loved to make fun of it, BTW.

Season six of the HBO Series, True Blood, premiers this Sunday night. My DVR is already programmed to tape each episode. Unlike the past 5 years, I may watch it live. My daughter, who turned me on to the thing in the first place, now has HBO at her house. This means I don’t have to tape it and wait until we can get together to watch. We would watch 2-3 episodes at a time after kids and hubbies were in bed, staying up way too late to be dealing with those same folks in the morning, but it was worth it.  This season we can each set our machines to record it.

Why the Hell am I telling you this? [Aside from this week’s writing challenge]
